Track Cooleman Ridge |
14 of us met and drove to NW Duffy below Narrabundah Hill. We wandered up there, then back down to the edge of Chapman at the NW end of the Cooleman ridge. A ramble along the ridge through Cooleman Hill to Arawang Trig, with views W to the Bullen and Tidbinbilla Ranges. To the E lay the suburbs of Canberra. A balmy late Autumn afternoon, very pleasant with no breeze. A spot of arvo tea at Arawang, a chat with two of the Friends of Cooleman Ridge and down across Sulwood Drive to the church car park.
A great bunch of folk from CBC, Parkway church and public visitors. Let's do it again next month. Thanks for your company and conversation Mike B, Bernie C, Richard and Nicole C, Shaun F, Diedrie K, Marianne K and Erwin M, Stephen and Lisa M, Gita M and Alex N, Denis W.
Distance: 8.3km Climb: 250m. Time: 1.30 - 4.05pm (2hrs 35mins), incl 10mins of breaks.
Grading: S/E; E(5)
